Rarity Bioscience

Rarity Bioscience is a spin-off from Uppsala researcher Ulf Landegren’s research group Molecular Tools. The company was formed in the summer of 2021 by Lei Chen and Ulf Landegren to commercialize SafeLock, a new technology for detecting small mutations in DNA samples.

Rarity SuperRCA is an ultra-sensitive multiplex assay to detect rare nucleic acid sequences in biological samples such as liquid biopsies.

The technology platform’s format and flexibility – and reading based on flow cytometry – make it suitable for research as well as clinical applications.
