Current Power Sweden AB was founded in the spring of 2005 as a result of research at the Department of Electricity Science, Uppsala University. In 2004 the concept was awarded third place in the business plan competition Venture Cup East as well as the Almi Uppsala Innovation Prize. A scholarship from Agne Johansson’s Memorial Fund scholarship was received in 2005.
